Can you believe how this year is rushing ahead again? The Christmas stuff seems to have only just
disappeared off the shelves only to be replaced by the next load of red bling, this time in the form of
hearts, teddybears and roses.

How is this for an astonishing fact:

In 1868, Richard Cadbury sold the first Valentine's Day box of chocolates.
More than $1 Billion worth of chocolate was purchased on this day in the US alone last year.
(I am certainly hoping to make a substantial contribution to the South African number this year....;-))

MAY YOUR VALENTINE'S DAY BE AS HAPPY AS MR. CADBURY'S OR MRS. LINDT'S! ;-)

Some more useless information about this important date on the commercial calendar:

Statistically, a woman who purchases flowers on Valentine's Day is most likely buying them
for ...?
A: her significant other
B: her mother
C: her children
D: herself

(Answer is D!)

How many Valentine Cards are sent
each year?
A: 500 Million
B: 1 Billion
C: 2 Billion
D: 10 Billion

(Answer is B)

Who receives the most Valentine's
cards?
A: Women
B: Men
C: Mothers
D: Teachers

(Answer is D!)

This month, instead of giving you a

recipe, we thought we'd do some

FOOD FOR THE SOUL

If I Had My Life Over - I'd Pick

More Daisies

Nadine Stair

If I had my life to live over,
I'd dare to make more mistakes
next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have
been this
trip.
I would take fewer things
seriously.
more rivers.
I would eat more ice cream
and less
beans.
I would perhaps have
more actual
troubles, but I'd have
fewer imaginary
ones. (...)
